The way to do this is to have a relationship with Jesus. We don’t have a relationship for the purpose of getting songs. I don’t know if that’s what a lot of people do, but I don’t think that’s what they do. Have a relationship with Jesus to know Him and not to look for songs.
In the process of knowing and dealing with Him, if He decides to give a song to you, fine, and if He doesn’t, it’s also fine.
Because your relationship with God is not defined by songs.
For example, somebody can walk into an atmosphere where there is internet, even if they never had data in their phones, they will connect and they will be able to surf the net.
This also happens to a lot of people (music ministers). You enter a meeting, just as king Saul prophesied in the midst of prophets, you will get a song and it will be amazing; but some will start to build a tabernacle around that song and not necessarily go back to have their own ‘internet’ (connection with God) so they can get more of that song.
It has to be a conscious relationship with Jesus, not for songs – just love being with Him. If He decides that the overflow of your friendship and fellowship, the world will listen to it, it’s up to Him. If He doesn’t, it is also up to Him, but you are satisfied with your relationship with Jesus.
There should be a reflection of your depth in Christ in every song that comes from you.
