CHOICES!

So one day I sat down with a young lady and asked her this question “What kind of man do you want to marry?”
She smiled and was like “Sis, I can’t marry someone who doesn’t have money, a car, a house, He must have a friendly mother and his siblings must like me
He has to be fair, tall, good looking, works in a good company”
When she was done I smiled and asked her these few questions.

You said he must have money, how about if the money finishes?
You said he must be tall, how about if he’s tall, good-looking, but disrespects you and beats you?
You said he must have a friendly mother-in-law, what if he does but doesn’t care about you?
You said he must own a car, how about if he has the car and doesn’t have the money to maintain the car?
You said he must have a house, how about if he stays in a boy’s quarters but God shows him that he shall hold the keys to different estates?

It’s not like your choices are bad, but your choices and not just right.
Rather than making wrongs choices. Start changing your choices by saying I can’t marry…
Someone who doesn’t know God.
Someone who has not discovered God’s purpose for His life.
Someone who doesn’t value me.
Someone who I can’t play with and be vulnerable around.
Someone ashamed of my background, size, and personality.
Someone who is too proud to say Please, Sorry and Thank you”.
Someone who worships money as their god.
Someone who thinks little of women.
Someone who wants to hurt the people in their future
Someone too busy to make time to spend with me.
Someone without a vision for our future.

Beyond the guy standing before you who do you see?
He told you how God was showing him millions and how he shall sit with kings. But because he doesn’t look like it now doesn’t mean he won’t be it.
In all don’t trivialize little beginnings.
Because when he shall surely sit before kings, and he needs you around he shall say to his servants “Call me my wife, the woman that stood behind me when I was nothing, and tell her that her king awaits her”.
