I want to give a little enlightenment to this word “the secret place” for the sake of those sincerely panting after God, but lack understanding about the secret place.

Firstly, our continuous using of this word “the secret place” in preaching, and making of posts in social media, is not really something big. The secret place is something you know already, and you can create one for yourself. But firstly, let me bring to your understanding, that the man-made secret place is not the same as the God-made secret place.

The God-made secret place as in the book of Psalms 91:1 can be liken to be Jesus Christ, while the Shadow of Almighty God can be liken to be the Holy Spirit. So whosever dwells in the secret place (Jesus Christ) of the almighty God shall abide under the Shadow (Spirit of God) of the almighty God. That means, until you be in Christ, you cannot be a new creature, and you cannot have the Spirit of God.

The Spirit of God is the Spirit of protection and security, but he comes into you after you come into Christ.
But then, the man-made secret place is referred to as Altar in the old testament, and also the holy place. During the Tabernacle in the wilderness, the making of altars outside the camp ceased, all had to come to the Tabernacle to seek God. So the temple and the tabernacle became altars.

To have a secret place with God, is to have an altar with God, a literal altar. This means, you have to have a place set apart for meeting with God. Your room can become your altar. On this altar you study the Word of God, meditate and pray. So no matter where,you can make your room or a secluded room to be a place of meeting with God.

So the secret place with God means a place you often go to read the Bible, pray and meditate. Is a place of meeting point with God.
So don’t be confuse with how to get into this secret place everyone is talking about.

If you are in Christ you are in the secret place of the almighty, but then, you have to have a literal place of meeting with God, this is also your secret place.

If you are living in same apartment with your parents and siblings, and you have no private room for yourself. Then you can create a kneeling spot, where you will always kneel down to pray.

To make your altar or secret place more powerful, you have to be consistent there. You have to continue meeting with God there.

Your consistency is invitation of God’s presence for identification.

Well, if you live in village or in a remote place, you can make a place inside the bush or forest for your meeting point with God. Jesus had a secret place called Gethsemane, it was a garden. So you too can make a garden to be your place of meeting with God.
