A lot of people today complain of not knowing what to do and not even knowing which way to go. I know I speak of a large chunk of society. It’s okay to be confused once in a while but it’s not okay to walk with God and still grope in darkness and confusion. For the Bible says,
‘God is light, and there is no darkness in Him at all (no, not in any way).’ (1John 1:56, AMP).
Darkness is a result of the absence or insufficiency of light. Confusion in life comes as a result of not allowing His light permeate our will. Only a will illumined by God can make the right choices.
A proof of growth in our relationship with God is that we easily discern and set out to execute His will. The Bible speaks distinctively of God thus,
‘Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the father of all (that gives) lights, in (the shining of) whom there can be no variation (rising or setting) or shadow cast by His turning (as an eclipse)’ (James 1:17, AMP).
This simply means that God is not only eternal but eternally stable. There no ups and downs, highs and lows with Him; there is only stability and unquenching brightness. Every life that is truly in His care should reflect stability and unquenching brightness.
