AN UNFORGETTABLE LESSON FROM BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO'S VISIT TO ARCHBISHOP BENSON IDAHOSA (WHEN HE WAS ALIVE) – ALLI ABRAHAM

Bishop David Oyedepo admitted that before he went to see Archbishop Benson Idahosa, he had heard a lot of “bad things” about the Archbishop, and as a result, he had concluded not to have anything to do with him.
His eventual visit was as a result of a divine instruction he had received from God. What if God had not instructed the bishop to go see the Archbishop? The negative rumors he had heard about the Archbishop would have kept him back from enjoying the dividends of that connection.

There is a vital lesson here. Be careful of the things you listen to. There are men who are carriers of the investment of God’s grace for your profiting that the devil will do everything possible to prevent you from believing them.
One of his efforts is to try and discredit them by promoting false rumors against them. This is why there is a rise of critics who are zealously discrediting God’s ministers and the move of God, on social media.
Whenever a minister of God is criticized, the aim is to attack your faith. Whenever the miraculous acts of God are mocked, the goal is to dissipate the value you have for the miraculous, within your heart. And the moment this is achieved, unbelief will set in.

Most of the crusaders of this evil (critics) claim they are doing it in the Lord’s name, but the truth is, the very people who killed Jesus also claimed that they were doing the work of God. Beware of people who fight God’s church and claim to do it for the Lord. They are not of us.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t inspire condemnation and criticisms. He is a Spirit of love and He brings conviction to the heart of the erring for the purpose of repentance.
The Holy Spirit will not inspire anyone to ridicule Christ’ church before the world (on social media). It is demons who have a vehement hate for the church that does so through people.
At such perilous times as this, kindly be watchful. Feed your faith and not your doubts. Make a deliberate decision not to watch anything that won’t increase your faith. Protect your heart!

That phone is your property, you decide what you watch with it. Make up your mind never to give attention to any write-up or video containing verbal attacks against ministers of the gospel (whether it is justifiable or not).
If it will not feed your faith it won’t help your spiritual growth. There are people who began the Christian race with a ferocious zeal for the Lord that are currently out of the faith because they gave attention to things that punctured their faith.
Keep interceding for God’s work and His ministers. The time of the Lord’s return is near. Let your focus be on getting ready by keeping your garment pure. May the Lord keep us and dislodge the efforts of hell against His church!
