The music ministry is a very wide one and we must have an accurate understanding of what it entails.
Let me quickly clear the air that.
The fact that you have a beautiful voice and you are versatile on different musical instruments, does not makes you a music minister.
In fact, having the gift of composition does not still make you a music minister.
Many of us are very quick to predict that our purpose and calling is totally equal to our talents and areas of giftedness. Talents and gifts can be indicators of your purpose, but they don’t totally define you.
Have you ever taken time to understand that the talents were given to you by someone? (God). If you were truly given, then it is only the giver that knows why He gave you the gift.
Look, there are many things you can use a knife for, but it is only the buyer who knows his purpose for buying the knife.
You may quickly conclude that the knife is meant for slaughtering animals to feast on; but he may have bought the knife just for the purpose of cutting onions and vegetables.
You will misuse the knife if you don’t consult the buyer.
See, it is not everything you can do that you are called to do; don’t mistake ability for purpose.
That sonorous voice of yours may only be a tool to advance your teaching and preaching ministry (which is your true calling). You may still have the ability to compose and yet God will never allow you to do a music album.
There are people who should only compose songs and give to their local choir; they mustn’t do an album. They may have another major ministry that is entirely different. Imagine if David had settled as a music minister.
He got to the epic of music ministry, yet he has a greater call. He was able to minister to the king of his days. This is more like being the personal music minister of the President of your country.
He didn’t just minister, his music cast out devil. How many music ministers have recorded such a great achievement?
David would have died as a young harpist in the palace of Saul. Who would have killed Goliath? Who would have ruled and win many battles for the nation of Israel?
The major assignment was bigger than music ministry..

I CAN TELL YOU THAT REGGAE MUSIC IS SPIRITUAL-NON-SECULAR MUSIC, BUT THE INDUSTRY OF MUSIC LIES TO THE PUBLIC AND SEEKS TO DESTROY AND KILL THOSE WHO CARRIES ITS MESSAGES IN BABYLON SYSTEMS. THE PEOPLE IN THE UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP AND THEIR CRONIES(UMG/BMG)- AIMS TO CONTROL ALL WORLD MUSIC.

Hmm, this is a very deep one, but how do you think we can re- emphasize the importance of sane music and not these jamboree we hear everyday even down to the reggae world

VERY TRUE STEVEN. I HAVE SPOKEN ABOUT THE MURDEROUS SIDE OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY-BE IT IN R&B, HIP-HOP, REGGAE OR ANY OTHER GENRE. GOSPEL MUSIC IS ALSO NOT SPARED FROM THE THIEVES AND MURDEROUS CONGLOMERHATES AS I CALLED THEM.
