TALENT & THE ANOINTING

Apostle Nebai C. Ogbonna
Apostle Nebai C. Ogbonna

You can be talented and not be anointed.
You can be anointed and not be talented.
You can be talented, and yet, be anointed – even the talent will, sometimes, give expression to the anointing.
However, talent should NEVER be used as a parameter to measure the anointing.
Talent (or what we would sometimes call “gift”) runs parallel with the anointing. That is, they’re different in operation, yet intended to arrive at the same destination. What is the destination? Glory unto the Giver (God).
In diversity of operation, talent honors the talented and blesses the people (Proverbs 18:16)
But the anointing performs one singular function:
TO DESTROY YOKES (Isaiah 10:27)
(Anointing does not “break” yokes. The word “break” implies that there may still be a possibility for remedy, as whatever that can be broken can, sometimes, be amended.)
So, when one is under the climate of the anointing, there must be a permanent realignment of the molecular structure of his soul and spirit in conformity with the coordinates of the Kingdom.
That was why when those hardened men heard the words of Apostle Peter in Acts 2:37, they humbly asked, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”
An untalented, but anointed man humbled hardened men by nothing but the anointing!
When this untalented, but anointed man spoke again in Acts 10, from verse 44, there was an evident reorientation in the molecular structure of the spirit and soul of an entire kindred.
In fact, Peter was known as a man who was bereft in all learnedness! Untalented, yet anointed!
Talent is good! Gifts are superb. In fact, Apostle James describes them as “good and perfect” (James 1:17)
I, too, by whose hands this epistle is written unto thee is talented in some respect.
Howbeit Sir, talent is not enough.
Talent never destroys any yoke!
Talent only gives the people the euphoria and fantasy they desire.
Hope you’re aware that Michael Jackson was talented?
Hope you’re aware that Celine Dion is talented?
Need I mention Rihanna, Drake, Tuface, Phyno and others too numerous to mention?
If you’re untalented, please, if you can, desire to be talented; be passionate to discover your own talent.
But…
Talent is not enough.
Go for the anointing! The anointing makes the difference. The anointing destroys the yoke (even, the shell and albumen will not survive…lol)
The Lord continually break the bread that our eyes might be opened to spiritual realities.
Grace and peace be multiplied unto our spirit.
