Question Of The Day: Is Masturbation is a sin ?

Let’s examine it in light of the scriptures.
From the old testament era, it’s written; “When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his entire body in water; he remains unclean until evening. Every piece of clothing and everything made of leather which gets semen on it must be washed with water; it remains unclean until evening (Leviticus 15:16,17 msg).

“Colossians 3:5-7 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.”

If emission of semen can make someone unclean, then masturbation is a sin. It takes two opposite sex to generate heat when they lie together; but when one generates heat alone, then something is wrong! “Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?” (Ecclesiastes 4:11). Generating heat alone is a breech of natural process ordained by God. If Adam can generate heat alone, then why did God bring Eve to him?

From the new testament era, it’s written; “Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”. What actually generates masturbation is lust in the heart. Anyone who masturbate is actually fulfilling the desire of the flesh. The flesh always long for satisfaction but the Bible admonishes us in Galatians 5:16-17 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 Peter 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
The word masturbation did not appear anywhere in the Bible, likewise smoking and drug addiction, but that doesn’t make it right! Anything that goes contrary to the Bible and the original purpose of God for man is sin!

In summary, it’s written in Romans 1:21 that the reason why people forsake the natural use of woman and the the women likewise, burn and generate heat alone through masturbation is “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.”. For this reason; “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” (Romans 1:24-27).

Even health wise, it’s not advisable for someone to indulge in masturbation. Don’t allow anyone to deceive you and paint sin as a good thing. There is a way that seems right to a man but the end thereof is destruction.

Flee from adultery!
Flee from bestiality!
Flee from homosexuality!
Flee from lesbianism!
Flee from youthful lust!
Flee from all appearances of evil and sin!

These are common facts to know about ‘MASTURBATION’

Masturbation can’t quench sexual desire, rather it intensifies it: I can back this up with confession from those who were once slaves of this habit and later got free.

Masturbation is not God’s original design for sex. God does not creat sex to be a ‘solo sex’. Sex is to be between two people of opposite sex. So, when you masturbate, you are having sex with yourself. That’s original perversion and abuse of sex.

Most times, Masturbation goes with porns. Most masturbators are people who watch pornography often. You can hardly watch pornography and take your hands off your genitals.

Masturbation is addictive! Someone told me he started masturbating since 11 and now he is 37 , and still in the active business of masturbation. Once you enjoy it once, you might want to do more until it becomes a chain on your neck.

5: Masturbation can affect your sex life in marriage. You might loath real sexual intimacy with your spouse when you are addicted to Masturbation.

6: Masturbation is not possible without lust. You can’t do it well without imagining someone with you sexually. You might need to imagine your ex, or one of your sexual encounters or imagine yourself with someone who you are crushing on, etc. Your heart must be lustful before you can benefit from Masturbation.

Masturbation is wrong, bad, demonic, destructive and sinful. Avoid it and end it with speed if you are deeply involved in it.
