How prepared are you friend for the Coming of the Lord? It’s important to realize that life does not end here – there’s a Glory on the other side.
No matter all the benefits of Redemption that we enjoy here on earth, they cannot be compared to the Glory that shall be revealed in and through us in the world to come.
Jesus is coming back again! The Rapture is not a fluke; it’s a reality! The Lord is at this time setting spiritual machineries and processes in motion to wind up His activities on the earth and ultimately bring the events of this age to consummation.
We must tell it on the streets and on the mountaintop. The Rapture is nearer than we think.
We have a preponderance of Scriptural witnesses and contemporary individual encounters that lend credence to this.
Recently, the Lord reaffirmed this reality to me through a vision encounter.
I held back in reluctance from sharing despite persistent nulgings in my heart but I told the Lord, “I’m sorry Lord. I will do Your bidding”, and then He gave me the words to convey the vision.
And so it happened; in the free flow and normalcy of human activities, while everyone was busy with life’s hustles and bustles, I lifted my eyes to Heaven and I saw what looked like flickers of light and lighting beaming on the horizon of time.
I saw these flickers of lights three times dropping upon the earth but everyone appeared so preoccupied with their engagement.
Suddenly, I saw Heaven open and the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Resurrected Lord, appeared in Glory with a retinue of angelic hosts.
While still enraptured by the awe-inspiring sight of His Glory, I saw rising from the earth what initially looked like a flock of birds, flying upward in the direction of the firmament.
But on closer look, I realized that it wasn’t a flock of birds; they were the saints of God rising from the grave, clothed in white linen and ascending in Glory.
All of a sudden, I found out that I could not walk on my two legs; I gained an unusual ease to rise in the air, with the law of gravity suspended, I began to rise to meet the Lord in the air.
I saw my wife and children and many other saints of God having the same experience like mine – we were rising above the earth surface to meet the Lord in the air.
As we were rising, I looked below the earth and saw our Toyota Avalon car parked, different houses with the beautiful ambience and many other earthly infrastructural masterpieces.
At that point I realized in the vision that THE RAPTURE had just taken place. I noticed that we left all those things we used here behind.
The car could not be raptured. The houses that I saw could not be raptured. All the wealth accumulations on earth could not be raptured. It was only our spirit, soul and body.
The moment I woke from that vision, the Holy Spirit brought this song to my heart, “IN CHRIST ALONE” by Geoff Moore:
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My comforter, my all in all
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand
Now beloved, the time is short and the work is great. We’re now standing on the threshold of eternity. Therefore whatever you want to do, do it now! Pursue with gusto God’s plan for your life. Prepare yourself for His Coming!
As beautiful as it is to know that the benefits of Redemption are to be enjoyed now, let’s not forget that it’s child’s play compared to the Glory on the other side, for if only in this world we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable – 1 Cor. 15:19.
Some years back, I was privileged to watch a video messsge by Dad Hagin, preached at Winter Bible Seminar, 2003 (the year he passed on to glory), and entitled, “REALITIES OF HEAVEN AND HELL”.
Dad Hagin said, “There’s an Heaven to gain and there’s an Hell to shun”. No coincidence at all – he preached that message in April 2003 and he slept in the Lord on 19th September of the same year.
The message is very clear dear friend; in all our activities, both spiritual and physical, let’s not lose sight of the fact that the Coming of Christ is nearer than we think.
To those that are without, let’s go tell the story, and for those of us that are within, let’s keep up the good works, knowing that the Lord cometh quickly, and His reward is with Him, to give every man according as his work shall be – Rev. 22:12.
Why do we have to preach and teach about the Rapture? It’s not only to get ready for the “flight” but also to get prepared for “our eternal destiny” – how it will look like on the other side.
You see, one of the most stupendous privileges we have in Christ is that we can determine how “our eternal destiny” will be, meaning that WHATEVER WE DO NOW HAS ETERNAL IMPLICATIONS.
This is the reason we get involved wholeheartedly in the service of the Lord because our “REWARDS IN ETERNITY” will be directly proportional to our “SERVICE IN TIME”.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Let’s get prepared friends, for the “flight” is sooner and nearer than expected. This is the blessed hope of the believers:
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
