The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has revealed during June Holy Ghost Service, what Reverend Josiah Akindayomi did for him to emerged as the General Overseer of the Church.
Recall that Rev. Akindayomi is the founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, while Adeboye is the General Overseer.
Pastor Adeboye, when he was ministering on Friday night during monthly HolyGhost programme which was monitored by our correspondent, explained how God spoke to the founder to annoint him as the new General Overseer of the Church.
Adeboye explained that the late Rev. Akindayomi actually broke all protocols in anointing him as a pastor in the Church to pave way for him to become the General Overseer of the Church. He revealed that he got ordained as a pastor in just two years of joining the church. Whereas the the person ordained with him has been in the Church for 15 years.
The respected clergyman made this known when he was preaching on the topic; ‘Let There Be Light Part Six’.
He however replied to the people who claimed that if you want to be a pastor within six months, go to RCCG. He said that those people should come and see how many years they will spend to become a Deacon, how many years they will spend to move from being a Deacon to Assistant pastor. And again how many years from Assistant Pastor to full pastor.
He reiterated that the founder broke protocols because he heard from God.
